Search Standing measures where owner-run B2B and industrial companies stand in Google and in AI answers against named competitors, writes the build specification, and writes the first pages. It is based in New York, works nationally, and is not an agency. This page states the method, the scope, and what we publish about our own work.
What we do, what we will not do, how we measure, who runs it, and how an engagement works.
Search Standing is a competitive search and AI visibility analysis practice for owner-run B2B and industrial companies, based in New York and working nationally. It measures where a company stands in Google and in AI answers against the three or four competitors it loses work to, writes the build specification for what should change, and writes the first pages. The company's existing developer or agency publishes them. It is not an agency and does not sell retainers.
The practice exists because of a gap. Agencies sell implementation and are paid monthly, which shapes what they find. Tools sell scores and cannot say why a score moved. Almost nobody sells the diagnosis on its own, aimed at a company of five to fifty million in revenue with a real business and a website that reflects none of it. That is the whole scope.
The same five steps in the same order for every company: domain overview, organic pages, branded share, AI visibility across four engines counted separately, and a read of the site itself. Then a thesis the owner can verify in ten minutes. The sequence is fixed because a fixed sequence is what surfaces the specific faults a loose review walks past, and because it makes every analysis comparable to every other.
Every figure described as measured on this site comes from this process, with the market and date stated. Published third-party figures are cited to the study on the page where they appear. The AI search statistics page keeps both in one place.
The measured outcome of the sites it builds and runs itself, with the dates, including where they disappoint, and client results as they exist and with permission. One outcome is published so far: a B2B site built to this specification on a new domain went from zero weekly search clicks to a steady flow within twelve weeks. It is stated as our own, not as a client. A category built on measurement should be able to show its own.
The research on the site is the same. Eighteen B2B companies measured in 2026 across commercial printing, liquid cooling, robotics integration and multifamily. Keyword pulls of several hundred terms across those markets. Four-engine AI measurements on named companies on stated weeks. The findings are on the statistics page and inside the service pages that rely on them.
A claim nobody can check is worth nothing. Every figure on this site has a date and a method.
The publishing ruleA repeat founder in New York who has built and measured B2B sites in search for his own businesses, and a client director who handles engagements. Names are on the engagement letter and the business card rather than the website, by preference. The person who runs the analysis is the person you correspond with; there is no account manager and no handoff.
Correspondence is by email: contact@searchstanding.com. No call is required to receive the first analysis, and none is asked for afterward unless there is something to decide.
Send the company name, website and, if known, the competitors. Within three working days a free two-to-three-page analysis arrives naming the competitors, stating where the company stands, and giving the thesis. If the findings warrant it, engagements start at $20,000 for the audit with measured data, a build specification for a first cluster of four pages, and those pages written. One number, no retainer, no minimum term. Details on the pricing page.
There is no guarantee attached, deliberately. Nobody can promise a position in a system they do not control. What is promised is that the measurement is accurate, the specification is executable, and the pages are built to the standard it describes. The pricing page states the market ranges beside our own figure.
Figures described as measured are from Search Standing's own analyses using Semrush, Google Search Console and direct queries to each AI engine, on the dates stated. Published ranges move quarter to quarter; the patterns are what we rely on.
Send your company and your market. We will run the analysis and send back a summary naming your competitors, the terms they are winning, and where you sit against them.
No call required and no obligation. Read it, check it yourself, and decide. If the findings are worth discussing after that, we can talk then.
Prepared for your company against the competitors you name. Written by the person who would run the paid work.
